As we age, the combined effects of gravity, surgeries, fluctuations in weight, and loss of skin elasticity contribute to loss of tone in the thighs. Saggy or flabby thighs, for any reason, can negatively affect the way you feel about yourself. Many women can attest to avoiding certain social situations and recreational activities, sometimes missing out on opportunities in life, simply because they feel that they cannot change that part of themselves. And, if diet with exercise doesn’t help, it’s easy to give up. You may tell yourself ‘this is the way that it is,’ thinking there are no other options. A thigh lift, or thighplasty, addresses inner or outer thighs that can sometimes hang excessively and with a great deal of loose skin. In cases such as bariatric surgery or accelerated aging, liposuction alone will increase loose skin making the thighs look worse. In these cases, a thigh lift is a better option. It combines liposuction (when needed), removal of excess skin, and tightening of loose skin.
If any of the following describe you, a facelift is an option to consider: • Diet & exercise have helped you lose weight, but you’re still unhappy with the appearance of your thighs or they lack tone • You have excess skin thats sagging following pregnancy, weight loss or its hereditary • After losing significant amounts of weight, you now have loose, excess skin hanging around inner or outer thighs • You have always had excess skin or “saddlebags even though you are in very good shape or with diet and exercise
Swelling, bruising, pain and tightness after your procedure are common. Compression garments will need to be worn for a minimum of 6-8 weeks, sometimes longer for even better results. Dr. Maningas will strongly encourage 14 days of downtime to recover. You will have lifting restrictions for a 6 weeks.

I have had the best experience hands down. Dr. Maningas and my nurses the day of my surgery were absolutely incredible. They made me feel comfortable and at ease.
I worked alongside Dr. Maningas during his fellowship training year and was impressed by his surgical skills and compassion for his patients.
Yes. You will be sent home in a compression garment after your cosmetic surgery procedure and it will need to be worn for a minimum of 6-8 weeks, sometimes longer for even better results.
A full thigh lift incision goes from knee to groin on the inner thigh area. The scar will be somewhat visible, but will fade and be less noticeable as it heals and with time.
Although the results of body contouring are often remarkable, it is unrealistic to expect perfection. Patients should expect that irregularities and dimpling of the skin present before body contouring are likely to remain following the procedure. While improving the overall shape of the thighs and removing excess skin, a thigh lift usually does not significantly improve or worsen cellulite.
